Doha Institute for Graduate Studies offers a wide variety of scholarships annually to attract academically qualified students from within and outside the State of Qatar. The scholarships vary, some awarded on the basis of merit and academic competition, while others are based on financial need.


Terms and Conditions

1) No student may combine the scholarships of the Institute with any other scholarship whatever the source thereof.


2) Only students who have a good academic standing continue to benefit from the Institute's scholarships. The Institute may, In accordance with its procedures withdraw scholarships from students who violate this requirement.


3) The scholarships offered by the Institute shall not benefit the students enrolled in the Executive Masters or Diploma programs or specialized certificates.


4) Scholarships offered by the Institute shall not benefit students who have previously benefited from the same scholarship in a previous period of study in any of the programs of the Institute, whether or not they are awarded a degree.

Each year, Rotary awards up to 130 fully-funded fellowships for dedicated leaders from around the world to study at one of our peace centers.

Through academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities, the Rotary Peace Centers program develops the capacity of peace and development professionals to become effective catalysts for peace.

Over 1,500 program alumni are working in more than 115 countries as leaders in national governments, non-governmental organizations, education and research, law enforcement, media and the arts, and international organizations such as the United Nations

Master’s program university partners

Duke University and University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA 

Fellows can earn a master's degree in international development policy from Duke or a master’s from various departments at the University of North Carolina. In addition, Fellows at both universities can earn a graduate certificate in international peace and conflict resolution from UNC.

International Christian University, Tokyo, Japan 

The ICU Graduate School of Arts and Sciences is known for its interdisciplinary program and liberal arts approach. Fellows pursue a master’s degree in Peace Studies within the program of Public Policy and Social Research.

University of Bradford, Bradford, England

The Division of Peace Studies and International Development at Bradford is the largest in the world and offers several master’s degrees related to peace, conflict, security, and development.

University of Queensland, Brisbane, Australia

Fellows earn a master’s degree in international studies and peace and conflict studies at the Graduate Centre of Governance and International Affairs.

Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden

The Department of Peace and Conflict Research offers a master’s degree in social science. It is internationally renowned for its free and globally accessible collection of data related to armed conflict and organized violence.


Benefits

The scholarship, mainly used as fund for tuition fees, includes Full Scholarship and Distinguished International Students Scholarship. Full Scholarship is awarded to full-time international students (including international students studying for a doctor’s degree, a master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree) and students of long-term non-degree programs whose programs (including language programs and professional programs) are not shorter than one academic year. Distinguished International Students Scholarship is awarded to international students participating in language programs or professional programs shorter than an academic year and short-term exchange students. One student could only be awarded with one scholarship.

Qualified candidates must:

Have three years of related work experience for the master’s program.

Have five years of related work experience for the certificate program and be able to explain how their plan to promote peace aligns with Rotary’s mission.

Be proficient in English.

Have a bachelor’s degree.

Demonstrate leadership skills.

Have a strong commitment to cross-cultural understanding and peace.

Candidates must have at least three years between the completion of their most recent academic degree program (undergraduate or graduate degree) and their intended start date for the fellowship.

Candidates currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program are not eligible to apply.

Jinan Government Scholarship at Shandong University in China


Applications are invited for Jinan Government Scholarship at Shandong University in China. Non-Chinese citizens are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) Vietnam - 200 scholarships

 

In the 2024-2025 academic year, Ton Duc Thang University (TDTU) is offering around 200 scholarships covering 50% – 100% tuition fee and dormitory fee for international students to study the Undergraduate Programs at Ton Duc Thang University in Vietnam.


TDTU is looking for talented, passionate, and dedicated students from all backgrounds who want to bring about the change this world needs. If you feel strongly about business, engineering, social sciences & humanities, sciences, and health science, and you wish to make the most of Ho Chi Minh City, TDTU is looking forward to hearing from you!


The three types of undergraduate programs, which are offered to international students, are


1.Undergraduate programs taught in Vietnamese – Standard Programs;

2.Undergraduate programs taught in English – English Programs;

3.Joint-training undergraduate programs with TDTU international partners.


At TDTU, the undergraduate bachelor’s degree typically takes four years to complete. The Pharmacy major would require five years of study.

Academic requirement:

Note: Applicants with an IB Diploma will be only eligible for joint-training programs in the format of a single degree.

Language proficiency requirement:

For Undergraduate programs taught in Vietnam:

Having a Vietnamese language proficiency test result/certificate of at least B2 level

Or attending 01 year of Vietnamese language study at TDTU and passing the final Vietnamese language proficiency test at least B2 level (click here for details of Vietnamese language proficiency test).

For Undergraduate programs taught in English:

Citizens from an English native speaking country;

Or having a valid IELTS of at least 5.5
