Annual Airline Ticket

A round-trip ticket from Doha to the town nearest to the student's house in his/her homeland. Each ticket is given once every year to the students who satisfy the conditions set forth by the University.

All undergraduate applicants to Qatar University are required to apply to their intended college of study using the QU online admission application.

Note: The QU online admission application allows you to complete your application or save your application to complete at a later time, review and submit your admissions application from the convenience of your personal computer with in the announced deadline.

 international student is planning to study at Qatar University only when he/she obtains a scholarship provided by Qatar University, he/she does not need to fill out and complete the visa application; the Scholarships and International Admissions Section will take the necessary procedures to issue a student visa for international students who receive a scholarship from QU.

Doha Institute Scholarships for Graduate Studies

 Scholarships for Graduate Studies

Doha Institute for Graduate Studies offers a wide variety of scholarships annually to attract academically qualified students from within and outside the State of Qatar. The scholarships vary, some awarded on the basis of merit and academic competition, while others are based on financial need.

Terms and Conditions

1) No student may combine the scholarships of the Institute with any other scholarship whatever the source thereof.

2) Only students who have a good academic standing continue to benefit from the Institute's scholarships. The Institute may, In accordance with its procedures withdraw scholarships from students who violate this requirement.

3) The scholarships offered by the Institute shall not benefit the students enrolled in the Executive Masters or Diploma programs or specialized certificates.

4) Scholarships offered by the Institute shall not benefit students who have previously benefited from the same scholarship in a previous period of study in any of the programs of the Institute, whether or not they are awarded a degree.

Scholarships Conditions of Continuity

General Conditions:

1.Applicants are supposed to get the benefit of the scholarship in Fall and Spring semesters of the same academic year the scholarship granted for him/her (except for H.H. the Emir of Qatar's scholarships for Academic Excellence that are only offered in the Fall semester). It’s not allowed to transfer it to the next year.

2. Maximum Duration Condition: All students granted a scholarship must commit to maximum duration which is the proposed duration of the academic program that he/she is studying at, based on the program graduation requirements, in addition to the number of semesters spent in the Foundation Program (maximum one year) for Undergraduate Students. The maximum duration does not include Summer and/or Winter courses.

3. The student must remain registered continuously in all semesters (Fall and Spring).

4. In case the student's scholarship was canceled, the student will not be eligible to receive that scholarship again, regardless of whether the situation is amended.

The student is responsible to pay the penalty or fine when withdrawing from any classes or terms. For Talent Scholarship, in case of a conflict, priority is given to fulfilling obligations towards Qatar University in the field of talent over any other club or entity.
