The Deutschland stipendium (Germany Scholarship ) 2023

The Deutschland stipendium (Germany Scholarship ) 2023
The Deutschlandstipendium supports highly talented students at all participating universities in Germany.
The scholarship is awarded without consideration of personal or parent income and one’s nationality is not material to award either.
The scholarship funds do not count towards grants awarded under the Federal Training Assistance Act (BAföG). There are no social insurance contributions payable.

The Deutschlandstipendium provides financial and non-material support to high-achieving and committed students from all over the world. Modelled after the principle of public-private partnership, businesses, foundations or private individuals sponsor young talent with a pledge of 150 euros per month.

But there is even more: Many universities and private sponsors also support Deutschlandstipendium holders through concurrent mentoring programmes, networking events and internships.

More and more institutions of higher education and private sponsors are offering additional non-financial support in connection with the Deutschlandstipendium. Mentoring programmes, networking events and internships allow scholarship holders to establish valuable contacts to businesses and gain insight into work life.

Funding is normally granted for at least two semesters but may be provided for a maximum time which covers the standard period of study. At intervals of two semesters the university reviews whether the scholarship holder still meets the award criteria and whether private funding will continue to be available

Benefits

300 euros per month for international top-class talents.

Eligibilities

Australia Awards Scholarships 2023

For 2023, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) has offered 1,603 Australia Awards scholarships and short courses to individuals from 28 partner countries. The estimated 2022-23 budget for Australia Awards investments across the globe is $254 million.

The Australian Government’s development policy Australian aid: promoting prosperity, reducing poverty, enhancing stability recognizes that tertiary education is an important component of any investment in development. Find out more about Australia’s development assistance for education.

For more than 70 years, the Australian Government has supported the education of emerging leaders from developing countries, through the Colombo Plan in the 1950s to today’s Australia Awards. More recently, the New Colombo Plan is supporting Australian undergraduates to live, work and study in the Indo-Pacific. This two-way educational exchange underpins Australia’s bilateral relations with the region and the broader global community by building enduring institutional and people-to-people links.

Australia Awards contribute to the long-term objectives of promoting growth and stability in our region and strengthening links between people and organizations to enhance mutual understanding and cooperation. They equip recipients with the skills and knowledge to drive change and contribute to their own countries economic and social development, in effect, building the human resource capacity of partner countries within mutually agreed development sectors.

All recipients of Australia Awards become part of the Australia Global Alumni, connecting them to Australia and each other – building an engaged and influential global network of leaders and advocates, and establishing a network of ambassadors for Australia and its first-class education system.

They provide opportunities for people from developing countries, particularly those countries located in the Indo-Pacific region, to undertake full-time undergraduate or postgraduate study at participating Australian universities and (TAFE) institutions.

The study and research opportunities provided by Australia Awards Scholarships develop the skills and knowledge of individuals to drive change and contribute to development in their own countries.

How to obtain a grant to study in Spain

How to obtain a grant to study in Spain
As a foreign student, you are entitled to apply for certain kinds of grants to study in Spain. Here we give you information on some of the programmes that may be of interest to you.

When seeking a grant to study in Spain, remember that there are a wide variety of institutions that offer financial assistance for studying.

Some of these are reserved for foreigners residing legally in Spain (this is the case of most of the grants awarded by the Spanish Ministry of Education, Culture and Sport:

In any event, remember always to check the requirements for each one).

A good option if you're planning to come and study in Spain is to look into the MAEC-AECID grants for foreigners offered by the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development (a part of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation).

Things to remember

The financial conditions offered may include a monthly stipend, in addition to accommodation in a university residence belonging to the MAEC-AECID Student Residence Foundation.

These grants are aimed at foreign citizens over the age of 18 with higher university degrees (and in some programmes, at final year university students), with a distinguished record in particular activities.

Interested candidates should be no older than 35 on the date they start the course.
You can find more information by writing to the following
 e-mail address: becasmae@aecid.es

Other grant programmes
In addition to the MAEC-AECID, remember that there are more grant programmes offered by other public institutions and universities, as well as by private institutions that have bilateral agreements between Spain and other countries.

Here are just a few:

Carolina Foundation Grant Training Programme
These are also awarded on an annual basis, and are designed to encourage further study by university graduates, and the specialisation and continued recycling of postgraduates, teachers, researchers, artists and professionals from Latin America. You can apply online for the grant that interests you:

Santander grants
You can find all the grants offered by this institution at the following link:

Grant from the Latin-American Postgraduate University Association (AUIP)

This association offers various programmes such as the Movilidad entre Universidades Andaluzas y Latinoamericanas (Mobility between Andalusian and Latin-American Universities) and the Movilidad Académica entre Instituciones Asociadas a la AUIP (Academic Mobility between Institutions associated to the AUIP). You'll find all the information at the following link:

"Reina Sofía" grants
These are aimed at Spanish emigrants whose spouses and children live abroad and wish to pursue university studies in Spain, and do not have the financial resources. To find out the schedule for each particular grant award, go to:
