Jinan Government Scholarship at Shandong University in China

Applications are invited for Jinan Government Scholarship at Shandong University in China. Non-Chinese citizens are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

For the education of international students, SDU adheres to the education idea of cultivating high-quality talents that are excellent in majors, sound in personalities, brave to assume responsibilities, law-abiding and friendly to China. Our education idea is based on the need of international students and is beneficial to their future.

Benefits

The scholarship, mainly used as fund for tuition fees, includes Full Scholarship and Distinguished International Students Scholarship. Full Scholarship is awarded to full-time international students (including international students studying for a doctor’s degree, a master’s degree or a bachelor’s degree) and students of long-term non-degree programs whose programs (including language programs and professional programs) are not shorter than one academic year. Distinguished International Students Scholarship is awarded to international students participating in language programs or professional programs shorter than an academic year and short-term exchange students. One student could only be awarded with one scholarship.

Eligibilities

Applicants must be Non-Chinese citizens from sister cities of Jinan. Applicants must be in good health and be friendly toChina.

Applicants must abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government, behave well and meet the entrance requirements of Shandong University.

Applicants must have a good attitude towards study. Applicants must not have any record for disobeying regulations of the university.

Only applicants that have not received other sorts of fund or scholarship could apply for the scholarship.

Application Process

All applicants shall mail the original copy of all application documents to SDU International Student Admissions Office (Address：C301 Mingde Building, Central Campus of Shandong University, No.27 South Shanda Road, Jinan, China).

None of the application documents will be sent back to applicants.

Chinese Government Scholarship – Chinese University Program

 Chinese University Program is a scholarship established by Ministry of Education (MOE) to support Chinese universities in specific provinces or autonomous regions to recruit outstanding international students for graduate studies in China.

MOE authorized USTC to recruit full-time master and doctoral students under the Chinese Government Scholarship since 2008.

Location: China

 Benefits:
Tuition waiver.
Accommodation: free university dormitory or accommodation subsidy.
If the host university requires students to live on campus, the university will accommodate the scholarship students in a university dormitory (usually a twin room); if the host university permits students to live off campus, the university will provide 
monthly accommodation subsidy:
Master’s students: CNY 700 per month;
Doctoral students: CNY 1000 per month.
Stipend:
Master’s students: CNY 3,000 per month;
Doctoral students: CNY 3,500 per month.
Comprehensive medical insurance.

 Eligibilities
Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens and mentally and physically healthy.
Applicants must not be a registered student in Chinese universities at the time of application, or be a graduate from Chinese universities for more than one year.

Education background and age limit:

Applicants for master’s degree studies must have bachelor’s degree (equivalent to bachelor’s degree in China) and be under the age of 35 (by September, 1st, 2018).

Applicants for doctoral studies must have master’s degree (equivalent to master’s degree in China) and be under the age of 40 (by September, 1st, 2018).

 For the graduates to obtain their degrees in 2018, they should submit a Pre-graduation Certificate to ensure that they will complete their study and obtain the degree by July of 2018.
Students who have been granted for other Chinese scholarship or funding（2017-2018）cannot apply for this scholarship.

International Students in China; 
Applications are invited for Anhui Government Scholarships. 

This program sponsors international students who apply to study or have studied undergraduate or postgraduate programs in institutions of higher learning of Anhui Province in China. 

Course Levels 

 Scholarships are available for pursuing bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programme.

Anhui Government Scholarships for International Students Study Subjects

Scholarships are awarded to study all the subjects offered by the universities in Anhui Province.

 Scholarship Amounts

Applicants for bachelor’s degree: 20,000 yuan/year
Applicants for Master’s degree: 30,000 yuan/year
Applicants for Doctoral degree: 50,000 yuan/year

Eligibility

Applicants must be non-Chinese Citizens with foreign passports and valid Chinese visas.
Applicants should have documents such as HSK certificate to prove that they have required level of proficiency in Chinese. 
(Limitations shall be relaxed if all the courses of the program the applicants study are instructed directly in English.)

Education Background and age limit
-Applicants for undergraduate program must have senior high school diploma and be under the age of 28.
-Applicants for master’s degree program must have bachelor’s degree and two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors and be under the age of 40.
-Applicants for doctoral degree program must have master’s degree and two letters of recommendation from professors or associate professors and be under the age of 45.
Applicants should abide by Chinese laws and rules and regulations of the school and have good academic performances.

Nationality: 
International students can apply for these scholarships.

General Chinese Language requirements for application to Chinese-instructed programs

Old HSK6 (or new HSK5)or  

 above is required for application of liberal arts, economics and management majored students.
Old HSK3 (or new HSK4) or above is required for application of science, engineering and medical science majored students.

General English language requirements for application to English-instructed programs

Free English Language testing for students from English speaking countries.
Free English Language testing for students from countries in which English is the major teaching language on condition that the relevant proof documents were provided.
TOEFL 550, IELTS 5.5 or Pass university’s entrance examination.

The Government of the People’s Republic of China has announced UNESCO/People’s Republic of China Fellowships– The Great Wall Co-Sponsored Fellowships Programme for International Students. There are Seventy five (75) fellowships available for advanced studies at undergraduate and postgraduate level. These fellowships are for the benefit of developing Member States in Africa, Asia–Pacific, Latin America, Europe and North America and Arab region. Applicants must be under 45 and hold at least the bachelor’s degree or the equivalent, or the Master degree/above when applying.
