The One Young World Summit 2021 in Munich, Germany



One Young World, the global forum for young leaders, has announced Munich as the host city for its global Summit in 2021.

The Summit will take place from 23rd to 26th April 2021., where over 1,800 young leaders from more than 190 countries will gather across the city’s well-known venues, including the Olympiapark, Olympiahalle, and The Residenz.

One Young World’s arrival in Munich represents a significant moment for the Bavarian capital, renowned for its architecture and culture. Munich has become a major international center for business, technology, engineering, research, and medicine. It is home to several universities and is the headquarters for many multinational companies and world-class technology and science centers.

Since its launch in 2009, One Young World has built a network of over 9,000 Ambassadors – young leaders whose work projects have positively impacted 17.5 million people worldwide.

Delegates participate in four transformative days of speeches, panels, networking, and workshops. All delegates have the opportunity to apply to give keynote speeches, sharing a platform with world leaders with the world’s media in attendance. As well as listening to keynote speakers, delegates have the opportunity to challenge world leaders, interact and be mentored by influencers. Delegates make lasting connections throughout the Summit, celebrating their participation at social events and the unforgettable Opening and Closing Ceremonies.

A person can attend One Young World Summit through:

Attend with a partner organization.
Attend independently
Attend on a scholarship: A range of scholarships are available to enable individuals who are not supported by partners to participate in the Summit. If the candidate is selected for one of the scholarship places, he/she will not need to pay a fee to attend the Summit.
Ambassadors are eligible to attend each One Young World Summit as a Returning Ambassador for a discounted fee
One Young World will provide confirmed delegates who require visas with letters of invitation in order to support their visa applications. One Young World cannot guarantee any delegate that their visa application will be successful.

Global Youth Summit 2019 Switzerland - Fully Funded

Global Changemakers is calling all passionate, enthusiastic, dedicated and proactive young social entrepreneurs, 
community organisers, activists, volunteers and campaigners who are working towards attaining the Sustainable Development Goals! 
Share your work with them by applying to the summit and have a chance to be selected as a Global Changemaker 2019 
and attend the fully funded Global Youth Summit 2019.


The GYS2019 will take place from 14 to 20 July in Zurich, Switzerland and they will invite 60 exceptional Changemakers
to join for a life-changing week of learning, networking and fun alongside the world’s most inspiring young leaders like you.

 As one of the 2019 Global Changemakers you will join their network of over 1000 young changemakers working to make a difference in over 180 countries 
and be eligible to apply for grant funding to launch or scale your projects.



If you are selected, the followings will be covered for the duration of the summit.

Eligibilities
Global Changemakers is looking for interesting, enthusiastic, determined and motivated young social entrepreneurs, community organisers, activists, volunteers and campaigners who are working towards attaining the SDGs across the globe.
Young people who are passionate about making the world a better place, have taken steps to realise this vision and plan to continue their work are highly encouraged to apply.
Participants should be between 18 and 23 years old at the time of the summit and may be from any country.

Application Process
Step one: Record and upload your two-minute application video
Due to the high number of applications they receive each year, they only use the application videos during the first round of selection, they therefore ask that you read the video instructions before you begin. 
The written answers in the application form will be used for the second and the final selection rounds.

Once your have made and uploaded your video, keep the link to add to your application form.

Step two: Pay your 35USD application fee
The application fee is 35USD and can be paid using PayPal, Western Union or credit/debit card.
Please keep your PayPal transaction ID/ card payment order number/ Western Union money transaction number to add to your application form.

The application fee constitutes less than 0.5% of the average cost of bringing a participant to the summit. By charging an application fee, they hope that those applying are truly committed to participating at the summit and to becoming an active member of the Global Changemakers network thereafter.

Step three: Complete your written application
Please note, your application is not complete until you submit the application form.
If you do not submit your application form before the deadline, your application will not be considered.
Applications close at midnight Central European Time (GMT+1) on 7 February 2019.
The application form cannot be saved to continue later, so they suggest that you create an offline copy of your answers in case you are interrupted whilst completing your application.

Step four: Submit your application
Only once you submit your written application form, including the link to your application video and proof of payment of the application fee, will your application be complete and sent to our selection team for consideration.
Please note, you will receive a confirmation email when you submit your form. If not, please check your spam folder. If you have still not received the email, you have made a mistake when you provided your email address or provided an invalid email address. In this case, please contact us to correct this.
Step five: Selection Results announced
Both successful and unsuccessful applicants will be informed of the selection results via email.

International Youth Summit 2018 Uzbekistan

Young Leaders Development Project (YLDP) under Uzbekistan Teachers of English Association (UzTEA) announces admission to the International Youth Summit 2018 (IYS 2018).

Brief information about Summit: 
The International Youth Summit is held annually starting from 2016. The Summit is considered as one of the first youth events in Uzbekistan conducted in English. The participants of the Summit will be selected through submission of online application from all regions of the Republic and foreign countries. The Summit will last three days during which participants will be divided into several groups for creating socially significant projects. Moreover, during these three days, the various seminars and trainings will be conducted for Summit participants, as a result of which, they will be able to create and present new projects, the best of which will be implemented by YLDP and investors. The projects as “YLDP Summer School”, “Plov4Love”, “Back2Reality” and Annual Youth Plenary Session are the results of Summits 2016 and 2017, which were implemented with the support of YLDP. The students of lyceums, colleges and high educational institutions, as well as applicants and youth with the same interests and hobbies, were united in aforementioned projects.

Aim of the Summit
The ultimate goal of the Summit is to create a special platform for young activists of our country and foreign countries, where they can exchange experience, knowledge and ideas as well as acquire new skills. Taking into consideration that the Summit is international, it would assist to form the right opinion of young activists of the Republic of Uzbekistan about foreign countries, and conversely the guests of the Republic will be able to obtain clear and detailed information about Uzbekistan.

Architecture
The youth from all over the world aged from 18 to 27 can take part in this Summit. The working language is English.

Global Changemaker Youth Summit

The Global Changemaker Youth summit will be bringing 60 changemakers age 18 to 23 to the 2018 global youth summit for a fully funded, life-changing youth opportunity – a week of training sessions, networking and workshops.

The programme changes each year as it is designed by Global Changemakers from past summits who co-create the programme with their team to ensure that every summit is as relevant and as impact as possible. Therefore, they will only share the 2018 programme shortly before the summit.

Facebook Grace Hopper Scholarship for Women USA

Facebook, with the commitment to advancing women in technology, has excitedly announced the 2017 Facebook Grace Hopper Women in Computing Scholarship!

It shall be joined by thousands of remarkable women in technology in Orlando from October 4-6, 2017 for its tenth year at the Grace Hopper Celebration of Women in Computing. This unique scholarship program will be awarded to 50 women excelling in Computer Science. Each recipient will have the opportunity not only to attend the Celebration, but to spend valuable days before the conference with Facebook engineers learning, collaborating, and preparing for the conference.

Annual Youth Summit 2017 in Istanbul Turkey

Application Deadline: May 21, 2017

The summit is an international certificate program that brings together undergraduate and graduate students, young activists and professionals, young entrepreneurs, representatives of NGOs, academics, and journalists. In the 2nd Annual Youth Summit, young leaders, young academics, and young professionals will find the chance for discussing this issue with prominent policymakers and distinguished intellectuals.

The discussants will particularly focus on three issues with respect to youth unemployment:

entrepreneurship & innovation;
education policies;
sustainable & inclusive growth.

 Benefits

No participation fee will be charged for the participants;
The costs of accommodation will be covered by the Co-Opinion Network only for the workshop participants from abroad and only for three nights, 15th-17th of June. The participants will accommodate in double rooms at a 4-star hotel. The network reserves the right to revoke this coverage in case the participant does not attend all sessions;
The on-ground transportation for the workshop participants (except for the arrival to the hotel on the first day and departure from the hotel on the last day of event) will be covered;
The costs of lunches on 16th and 17th of June will be covered for the workshop participants;
An Opening Cocktail will be held on 16th of June, exclusive for the workshop participants, representatives of Stakeholder Institutions of the Co-Opinion Network, and the Advisory Board Members. The cost of the cocktail will be covered by the Co-Opinion Network.
Please kindly note that transportation to/from Istanbul will be self-financed. The network undertakes to assist prospective participants who require visas to enter Turkey in obtaining the appropriate authorizations by submitting a letter of invitation;
However, this task is the responsibility of the applicant.
