King Hamad Youth Empowerment Award - Bahrain
This global award comes as an expression of the firm faith of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of Bahrain, in young people’s potential to lead their countries and the world towards a better shared future of peace and prosperity for all people on a healthy and renewable planet, as envisioned by the world’s most ambitious plan to transform our world – The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The King Hamad Award has two categories, One group targeting individuals. It recognizes youth contribution to achievements of the sustainable development goals. The Second group recognizes enablers of youth participation action and impact for SDGs achievement.
All 8 winners will be informed of their selection by January 2019.

Universität Hamburg Grants
Universität Hamburg from Germany is offering degree completion grants for international students.
Open For All
Universität Hamburg supports its international students on their way to the successful completion of their degrees with degree completion grants.
The funding period will last for twelve months for the students pursuing Diplom, Magister, Staatsexamen degrees. The purpose of this scholarship is to facilitate the international scholars at Hamburg University.
Benefits
The funding period for degree completion grant is 6 months.
The maximum amount of funding is €720 per month.
The amount of each grant is calculated according to the criteria stipulated in the German federal training assistance act (Bundesgesetz über individuelle Förderung der Ausbildung, BAföG).
If the final examination is not completed within the 6-month period, an extension may be requested. The maximum funding period is 12 months.
Students pursuing Diplom, Magister, or Staatsexamen degrees may apply for a 12-month grant with their first application.

Apple’s Exploratory Design Engineering group is seeking an enthusiastic research scientist with emphasis in one of the following areas: computer science, computer vision, computational vision science, biomedical engineering, electrical engineering/control theory, or electrical engineering/signal processing.

International FREE Workshop Event in Norway
What will I do during the event?
Participants spend their days attending workshops that relate to the theme ‘Migration’. Here you will have discussions with other students about relevant topics, and participate in a variety of activities. In addition to the workshops you will attend talks from international speakers, and cultural events such as concerts, theatre performances, and comedy nights. And of course, there will be parties and social events with the event volunteers !The event will be held between the 07th and the 17th of February 2019.
Do I need to speak English to attend ?
Participants are not required to be fluent in English, however all discussion and presentations will be in English, so you should have a high enough level of English that you can join in discussions and understand the presentations.
Will I be given financial aid to attend the festival?
Some financial aid may be available for applicants to cover travel costs, and you can apply for this aid in the application. There is no guarantee that we can provide you financial assistance to travel to the event however.
When will I find out the outcome of my application?
You will be contacted about the result of your application from late October to early November. Every applicant will be contacted with an outcome, whether you are given a place in festival or not.
Successful applicants will be provided with all further important information once they are selected.
When do participant applications close?
Applications will close on the 30th of September, so you have one month to complete and submit your application.
What expenses will I have during the festival ?
All applicants will be provided with accommodation for the duration of the Festival. You will be placed with a host family , where you will have the chance to meet locals and students and be a part of the community.
Food & Daily Meals
Participants will also be provided with three meals every day for no cost. Breakfast is provided by your host family, and lunch and dinner are provided at your events during the even. Food provided during festival is of high quality, and dietary restrictions and requirements will be met for all participants. However, be aware that most of the food you are served will be of Norwegian style, and therefore may be different from what you are accustomed to.
Travel from the airport will be covered by the festival event, and all participants will receive a free bus pass to cover all travel within the city.
Essentially, all participant costs will be covered during event, except for any additional/alternate food you would like to buy, and non-essential purchases such as souvenirs. Some optional events on the cultural program, such as concerts, also require that you purchase tickets to attend. However, there will always be something fun and free for you to take part in!

Fully Funded Global Education Fellowship in Paris - France
Each fellowship will last between six months to one year, depending on the work to be carried out, with one month spent in Paris. The GEM Report team will provide:
-A stipend (up to US$25,000) for the duration of the fellowship (up to one year) and full travel costs for at least one month to be spent in Paris for each of the fellows;
– A mentor from the team of GEM Report researchers. The GEM Report staff will allocate 3-5 hours per week to mentor and guide the fellows when they are in residence in Paris, and 2 hours per week while they are based in their home country;
– A desk and computer during their stay at the GEM Report team office, in the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris.
